Currently, Synopsys software tools can be licensed via a Floating Licnese which requires the use of the snpslmd license daemon. This requirement includes Synopsys standalone software directly obtained from Synopsys. In contrast, the Actel Editions of Synplicity software still use the synplctyd license daemon. If a user wishes to serve both Synopsys Standalone software and Synplfiy AE on the same license server there can be a potential conflict if the snpslmd v Synopsys migrated the Synplicity Synplify software to use the snpslmd license daemon in Synopsys For customers who are using updated Libero Floating licenses generated after January , the Synplify feature lines will be tied to the new snpslmd daemon resolving the issue described above and making the workarounds below unnecessary.
