Lesson plan template word 2003

I really had to deliver the training in bite sized chunks as it could be quite intimidating for staff my students who had not used this type of case management system before. When planning the training sessions I of course used my lesson plan format template to ensure that I planned my lessons well and consistently. I created a number of folders into which I would save the completed lesson plans. I soon realised that if I named the files logically and clearly I could get them to appear in the folder directories in the order that I would more than likely be using them.

If I defined Lesson Plan references that were logical and sequential, entering them as the first part of the file name when saving the lesson plan and then entering the lesson title afterwards, I would always be able to find the lesson plan easily and quickly. The files contained within the folder will be displayed as a vertical list ordered alphabetically and numerically by their file name.

It's much easier to see what files you have in a directory when viewed as a vertical list rather than looking at several file icons running across a screen. The TEFL lesson plan is divided into sections to clearly define the different components to consider when planning a class. Sounds obvious but give the lesson a title that is memorable and interesting. Don't worry about trying to provide too much information to describe the level or content of the lesson as the Profile section allows you to do this. The Profile section has been designed to record the detail of who the lesson is aimed at, how long it should last, what are the language skills your students will be working on, a description of the lesson and the target language and grammar to be taught.

Lessons are usually aimed at a particular audience, more often than not defined by their age group. For example a TEFL lesson plan set in the context of a bank is unlikely to be relevant to young learners. In the same way a lesson set in the context of the playground is unlikely to inspire all adult learners.
